This family used to live in the town of Namie, just 20km away from the Fukushima Nuclear Station. Now they have relocated in temporary community housing until further notice.

According to this Japanese newspaper report, children of Fukushima and other near by neighboring areas are under considerable threat of over exposure to the radiation. It goes on to say that the children are prohibited to touch the near by trees, sand, leafs, and any other kind of natural potential radiation hazard. Some establishments have been kind enough to take samples of pine trees and acorns to kindergartens for the children of Fukushima.
